Olympic opening ceremony AKA Britain is truely great...

...unfortunately I was in work til twenty past eleven last night and missed the Olympic opening ceremony :( and I wanted to see it so much, however I caught up with it on BBC iPlayer today and I have to say it was A-mazing.

Danny Boyle really did Britain proud and summed our nation up so so well! It was so original, so British and pretty cool too.

The Olympic cauldron is insane and having the flame brought to the stadium by David Beckham in a speedboat? Totally great. 

I think that it's shown us that we have so so much to be proud of! We may be up shit creek financially but as long as I can come home after a hard days work and listen to David Bowie it's all ok.

Rule Britannia - I hope our athletes win a million medals.

PS. I was secretly hoping that Edina and Patsy really were going to light the Olympic Flame it would have been mega.

...why aren't we as patriotic as the Americans? I love it - they're so proud to be who they are. Why aren't we - we're so not allowed to be patriotic! Thank god for the jubilee earlier this year otherwise we'd never celebrate the fact we're British. 

I think we need our own form of Independence day - though I don't know how it would work since we used to own like everywhere. How about just a Rule Britannia day yeah? 

Pearl Jam

Yes I was lucky enough to see this immense band last Wednesday! They were absolutely phenomenal. PJ are my all time favourite band ever-ever! I had a shite seat though so I was about a million miles away and I didn't take my glasses (like I ever wear them). However the camera on my phone is pretty awesome so got a handful of half decent snaps.

... they opened with Release off their first album and it actually brought me to tears. Eddie Vedder has the most amazing voice live - it's actually the same as you'd hear it recorded. I love you Pearl Jam and I love you Eddie Vedder <3.

However they didn't play my all time favourite song - Yellow Ledbetter :(, so here it is-

I did actually have abit of a heart attack because they have the two styles that I'm absolutely desperate for!

tie dye mad..

... what can I say I love tie dye! I really wanted an amazing bag for next weekend (Parklife) and spotted this in the Urban Outfitters sale online - got myself an cheeky extra 15% off and snagged this for a mere £20! Marked down from £85!! mega bargain - it's leather too!

... on wednesday I decided to have a massive tie dye session - these are only a couple of things I got my tie-dying mitts on! The middle is my amazing dress from Topshop with cutout sides and knot front - they do it in their own tie dye version but I wanted to create a one off. I bloody love it.

... defo wearing this next weekend at parklife - it's so 90's grunge I love it!

... absolutely love them - totally 90's up my Doc Martens and since the weathers set to be rough next weekend I'm going to be needing these! Teamed with my tie dye dress I'm going to look like I stepped out of 90's Seattle.
